About Edwina 

Edwina is a CORU registered private Occupational Therapist working in the area of Private Practice since 2023. She graduated from University College Cork in 2009 after which she worked in the UK and Ireland in acute medical and rehabilitation settings and specialised in the area of neuro-rehabilitation. Edwina has extensive experience working with adults and older adults and is passionate about supporting people in optimising their safety and function in their homes. Edwina supports people in applying for   

  • Housing Adaptation Grants from their local council,
  • Adaptations to council owned properties and
  • Applying for social housing under medical grounds.

Her other areas of interest include: 

  • Cognitive assessment and treatment
  • Fatigue management 
  • Physical rehab following a neurological event 
  • Functional independence in the home and community 

Edwina provides private Occupational Therapy services to adults in the Dublin and surrounding areas, delivered in their own homes.

Neurological Rehabilitation

With over 10 years experience working in Irelands Complex Specialist Rehabilitation Service Edwina has expert knowledge in assessment and treatment following a neurological event. With the focus on individualised goals,  neurological rehabilitation can take place within the home or community setting. It can include: 

  • Cognitive assessment and treatment plan
  • Visual assessment and treatment plan 
  • Physical assessment and treatment plan 
Functional Assessment & Intervention 

If you are having difficulty completing everyday tasks in your home or your community then Edwina can support you. She can complete a comprehensive assessment and follow up with advice, support and a treatment programme. Supporting people to engage in their meaningful everyday activities is Edwina's passion. 

Home Modifications

Following the onset of illness or injury everyday activities around your home may become more challenging. Support from an Occupational Therapist can enable you to live more safely and comfortably within the home. This can include:

  • Advice on aids and appliances
  • Falls Management education 
  • Support with applying for a Housing Adaptation Grant from your local Council 
Fatigue Management

Fatigue can be caused by a range of conditions and can impact all aspects of your everyday life. Edwina can provide a tailored fatigue management plan to support you in returning to your most valued meaningful activities.
